If you're thinking about going into business, our counselors can advise you about
the team you will need to maintain your business. Although it is our policy not to make
recommendations or offer endorsements, we will provide you with a general list of attorneys,
insurance agents, web site developers, and other professionals.
We will provide information about licenses and permits which you may need, and direct you to the appropriate county and state agencies. We will advise you to obtain information about zoning laws, where applicable. You will, in all likelihood, be advised to create a Business Plan. Although we will not design the plan for you, we will tell you what it should include. The Small Business Administration provides a sample Business Plan which may prove useful. Other important considerations which we will discuss with you are marketing, advertising, and financing (including SBA loan programs).
